Resumen

Se presenta la distribución de Chiasmocleis bassleri para la Amazonía colombiana. Al mismo tiempo, revisamos los especímenes reportados como Hamptophryne boliviana por Cabrera-Vargas & Rojas-Morales (2023) y mostramos algunos caracteres para tener en cuenta en la determinación de ambas especies. Adicionalmente, presentamos algunas recomendaciones para evitar errores en las determinaciones de especies en artículos de registros de ampliación de distribución e historia natural.
