EXTENSIÓN DEL RANGO DE DISTRIBUCIÓN Y DESCRIPCIÓN DEL CANTO DE CORTEJO DE Pristimantis condor (LYNCH AND DUELLMAN, 1980) (ANURA: STRABOMANTIDAE)

Pristimantis condor es una especie grande de Pristimantis, con una longitud hocico-cloaca > 30 mm en los machos adultos y > 50 mm en hembras adultas, que habita en altitudes que van de 1300 a 1975 m en bosques nubosos y bosques húmedos montanos a lo largo de las laderas amazónicas del sur de Ecuador y el extremo norte de Perú. La historia natural de esta especie aún se conoce poco y su llamado de advertencia nunca había sido descrita antes. Durante inventarios herpetológicos realizados en los Andes del norte de Perú en 2014 y 2023, registramos dos nuevas localidades para P. condor, lo que amplía su área de distribución en aproximadamente 250 km al sureste de la localidad más meridional conocida registrada en la literatura. Además, describimos por primera vez su llamada de advertencia, que se compone de 17-20 notas con una duración de 2965-3424 ms, separadas por intervalos de llamada de 8837 ms y 8517 ms.
