INTERACCIONES ARAÑA-LAGARTIJA: NUEVA EVIDENCIA Y ESTRUCTURA DE LA RED TRÓFICA BIPARTITA EN EL CONTINENTE AMERICANO

Resumen

La recopilación de las interacciones depredador-presa entre arañas y lagartijas permite analizar la estructura de la red trófica. En esta nota se aborda la depredación de lagartijas por parte de arañas en el continente americano y se documenta el primer registro de depredación de Anolis spilorhipis por la araña Nesticodes rufipes en Chiapas, México. Brasil (33 %), Costa Rica (17 %) y México (12 %) fueron los países con más registros documentados de depredación de lagartijas por arañas. La red trófica bipartita incluye 46 especies de lagartijas depredadas por 37 especies de arañas, exhibe una tendencia generalista y cierta resiliencia a la pérdida de presas. Investigaciones futuras deberían enfocarse en las características del microhábitat, particularmente en áreas urbanas, donde tanto las arañas como las lagartijas han desarrollado adaptaciones que les permiten persistir en estos entornos antropizados.
