Resumen

Los patrones de biodiversidad son el resultado de procesos evolutivos y ecológicos que actúan por separado o en conjunto a diferentes escalas espacio-temporales. Los procesos específicos que afectan estos patrones de diversidad no serán los mismos para cada grupo taxonómico, ya que puede depender de las características específicas de cada grupo. En este trabajo, describimos los principales determinantes ecológicos que afectan los patrones de diversidad taxonómica y funcional de anfibios y reptiles en tres escalas espaciales: regional, paisaje y local. Además de las tendencias generales mencionadas en este documento, se destacan algunos vacíos de conocimiento que podrían servir para guiar futuros estudios que analicen la complejidad de los patrones de diversidad de anfibios y reptiles en todo el mundo.
