Resumen

La dieta de los colúbridos es muy amplia, incluyendo todos los tipos de vertebrados. Existe evidencia de que las serpientes del género Leptophis se alimentan principalmente de ranas, y en menor medida de lagartijas, aves y en ocasiones de otras serpientes. Sin embargo, se conocen pocos aspectos sobre la historia natural de la serpiente Leptophis mexicanus. Con base en una observación registrada en el sureste de México, reportamos el primer registro de Thecadactylus rapicauda como parte de la dieta de L. mexicanus, contribuyendo a la ecología trófica de este colúbrido.
