Abstract. – Oxyrhopus fitzingeri is a nocturnal dipsadid species distributed from the southwest Ecuador to Arequipa, southern Peru. This study represents the second report of the species in Arequipa, extending its known distribution to the southeast by approximately 155 kilometers, with respect to the last record in Atiquipa. Additionally, this study registers Microlophus sp. as part of their diet.
