A new verified locality is reported for the Tropical House Gecko Hemidactylus mabouia (Squamata, Gekkonidae) on the northwestern coast of Jalisco, based on a juvenile from Puerto Vallarta city. The study documented the observation site and identified the species using a photographic image. The specific record site is located approximately 191 km airline west of the nearest confirmed record in Zapopan, Jalisco. The observation presented here represents the second confirmed state record for the species and provides evidence of its dispersal, arboreal behavior, and opportunistic diet in urban environments.
