Riama striata (Peters, 1863) is an endemic lizard from Colombia of the Gymnophthalmidae family. This species can live in habitats disrupted by anthropic factors; it has semifossorial habits and usually exhibits cryptic coloration. Here, we report the first case of erythrism for the species based on an adult male from a locality north of the Bogotá savanna.
