Abstract

We review the stomach content of a roadkilled adult female specimen of royal nauyaca, Bothrops asper, in the municipality of Minatitlán, to the south of Veracruz state. We report for the first time two speciecies of rodents, the rice rat Handleyomys rostratus and the spiny painted mouse Heteromys pictus, increasing the list to 13 rodent species as part of diet of royal nauyaca B. asper.
