In different ecosystems, snakes are one of the most important predators of amphibians. Nevertheless, to better understand predator-prey dynamics it is necessary to know the identity of the species, something that is usually difficult. Here, we present the first case of predation on a Hyalinobatrachium viridissimum egg clutch by the snake Imantodes cenchoa in a cloud forest in Veracruz, Mexico
