Abstract

Erythrism is an aberrant coloration that is rare in snakes and is characterized by the individuals showing reddish pigmentation in several regions of the body. In this note, we report a case of erythrism in the snake Thamnophis scaliger in the vicinity of Sierra Morelos State Park, Mexico.
