Indotyphlops braminus is a species of snake introduced to Mexico. In this work we present a new record of this species in the municipality of Ixtapan de la Sal, State of Mexico, Mexico, in an urbanized environment. In the State of Mexico, there were only two previous verified records of the species in the municipalities of Tenancingo and Naucalpan.
