Abstract

Incilius cristatus is a toad that is distinguished from other species by presenting prominent crests. It is classified as a species in critical danger of extinction by the IUCN and special protection by NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010. Also, it is an endemic species of Mexico. In this note, we provide records of the species in the community of Tepexilotla, municipality of Chocamán, Veracruz. Additionally, we report the depredation of I. cristatus by Sumichrast's Garter Snake, Thamnophis sumichrasti.
