Abstract

Boana picturata is a nocturnal tree frog, which presents habitat problems due to anthropogenic activities that put its populations at risk, therefore, knowing the distribution area of this species is essential for the development of conservation plans for it. Therefore, this research documents new localities of B. picturata for the department of Chocó. The individuals were recorded in the localities of Angostura (Municipality of Tadó), Afirmado (Municipality of Alto Baudó), Salero (Municipality of Unión Panamericana) and Tribugá (Municipality of Nuquí), the latter locality being the result of the Biological Expedition, Serranía del Baudó.
